Right, the first thing to do when you start the program is
set up your soundcard and your MIDI input device.

To set up your soundcard, go to the Options menu, and
select 'Audio Options':

This will open a dialog where you can select your soundcard
and the various inputs and outputs you will use:

The combo box at the top lets you select which
soundcard/device you will be using.  The list box below
lets you select which inputs/outputs you will be using from
that device.  Note that the Pedal Board is designed to be
used with two inputs and two outputs (i.e. stereo
operation).  Anything else may result in strange errors
ocurring.  When you are done, click OK and you will be
returned to the main window.

To set up your MIDI device, go to the options menu and
select 'MIDI Options':

This will open a dialog with a single combo box.  Select
the input device you want to use and click OK.  Note that
by default, the MIDI messages from this device will be sent
to all plugins.  See the MIDI tutorial for information on
the more sophisticated operations possible with MIDI input
devices.

Now you're ready to use the program!  In the main window,
right-click in the main panel, like so:

Select 'Add a Plugin' to add a VST plugin to the program.
A file dialog will appear to let you choose your plugin,
and it will appear in the main panel.  Click 'Start Audio'
and you're away!
